Marine Tourism Education Course
On-site course designed to assist resort staff to understand and run sustainable marine activities
We offer a course designed to increase the overall knowledge and efficiency of activities staff, boat drivers, and snorkel guides.
This course is custom-made to be taught to Fijian staff in a resort environment, and emphasises the importance and methods of reef conservation and protection, as well as teaching customer service and assistance.
F$25 per student
Programme Aims
The programme aims to increase your staff’s understanding of the needs and perceptions of the customer exploring the Fiji coast, and to encourage awareness of the need to conserve the reef system.
In the increasing climate of environmentally-aware tourists, this course ensures that your resort and staff will be perceived as educated and concerned about their environment, and can enhance your guests’ overall experience of your resort
Course Content
The course is taught on-site at your resort, and within your timetable. While the planned course hours are 8-12, it is suggested that this is broken down over three half-days to promote understanding and retention of information, and also to allow resort staff to still work their shifts.
Course Details
There is a maximum of 8 students per group.
If courses are run in half days, this can be scheduled as one morning group and one afternoon group, allowing up to a maximum of 16 students to be trained per course.
